WE are now lifting off the fairways and placing in the semi rough.
Any ball/shot coming to rest on the fairway has to be placed in the semi rough.
Any ball/tee shot coming to rest in the rough has to be played as it lies.
Definition of the semi rough is at the discression of the player and playing partners.

Find a little bit more about our club professional Ian Taylor and his assistant Robert:
Ian has recently been appointed to the club having worked previously at Clitheroe Golf Club and latterly running his own corporate golf company Tayloredgolf.
He has competed extensively in tournaments throughout Europe, America and Africa and has significant success in numerous Pro-Am events and strokeplay tournaments.
He currently competes in the Lancashire and North region events.
Ian is assisted in the shop by trainee assistant pro Robert Danson who is about to embark on his training programme.
A new indoor training facility has been built which enables Ian to provide a full range of coaching servicesall year round.

The club has 3 fully stocked bars that are open daily throughout the year.
The main lounge has seating for 70 and possesses a view that is unrivalled anywhere.
The lounge also contains a dance floor and widescreen television that is available for major sporting events.
The bar staff offer a friendly and cheerful service as visitors and members enjoy a large west facing balcony which overlooks the course and the Irish Sea.
On a clear day the Isle of Man and the Welsh mountains can be seen in the distance.
The snooker room houses 2 full size tables, so you can always play a frame whilst enjoying a pint without having to leave the bar.
Situated at the corner of the building, the large windows give you some of the best views of the course.

This year, Chorlton-cum-Hardy Golf Club, Manchester is pleased to assist Francis House Children's Hospice host a series of Mixed Greensome events, (mixed = any combination of players not restricted couples) to the dates are 27/6, 18/7 and 29/8th tee times between 12.30 and 15.00. RULES AND ETIQUETTE EVENING
The club is running a rules and etiquette evening on Tuesday 18th May 7-9pm.
The rules specialist is the secretary of the North Region PGA, Graham Maly.
It costs £5 and includes chilli and rice.
