Welcome to Michael Newton Golf Academy, PGA Golf Professional and coach at Barrow Golf Club in Cumbria. Michael embraces his unique teaching ability of combining the emotion, passion, physical and technical skills of golf to any pupil who visits him at his state of the art purpose built Swing Studio. Weather it’s a total novice wanting to learn the games basics, a mid handicapper looking to shave a couple of shots of their score to an advanced player wanting a structured coaching programme to meet their needs. Michael can cater for everyone.
Michael opened the ‘Swing Studio’ that joins onto the fully stocked shop at Barrow Golf Club in November 2006 and has equipped it with some of the latest technology to assist with coaching and club fitting. Since opening the Studio has proved very popular and attracts golfers from all over the North West. There is no need to worry about the weather anymore when visiting Michael as lessons and club fitting can take place in the comforts of the Studio!!
Video analysis, launch monitor technology, demo clubs from all the top manufacturers combined with expert PGA advice will help to perfect your swing and find the right equipment to suit your game. Michael strivives on his friendly customer service and likes to look after the pupil from start to finish, weather it’s swing or equipment related.
